~ Tick Tock ... Summer Gardens Soon Will Be Gone ... ~

This gorgeous clock was presented to us by Gail, Shabby*Cottage*Shoppe, that we featured the past (2) weeks on our W. Virginia trip. If you didn't read about her, go back & visit her home tour & studio tour creations. Gail said she listened to me babble about my fav's (there were so many who ever could choose ... certainly not me!) so she created this clock just for me. I am so thrilled with it ... I nearly cried when I opened that box. Lots of pink & oodles of bling!!! Her shop is featured on our posts & front page. Pop over & visit Gail. THANK YOU Gail, I LOVE IT!! You will forever tick for me ... hugs!

I hope you will enjoy ... As summer winds down I did promise to share with you those 700 plants that I was going to plant ... that took me 18 hours in two days ... but I got it done & thought I'd never move again. We put in tons of impatiens, geranium, grasses, azaleas, lilies, hostas (3 types) ... & several plants I have no idea what they are called. Then we had these mysterious plants that have a brief yellow flower that turns into a fuzzy dandelion type head ... sunflowers popped up mysteriously everywhere. The 6th pic is a 'weed' but it was so pretty & now it is as tall as the bird feeder ... the 11th pic shows it growing to about 5' tall. Think I am just going to leave it for 'kicks' & see what happens. It is lacy & quite pretty.

A rhodie that we thought was blooming & got all shook up as that would be out of season, is actually a petal off a flower landing so perfectly to deceive.

The mum is at the end of our driveway & is quite an attention getter ... it is 2 different plants but it is funny the way the one grows around the yellow one.

The final pic is the only damage we got out of our tornadoes last month (we had 2 separate ones) ... it literally tore up everything 1 mile down our hill ... damage was unreal ... we are grateful that from both tornadoes we only suffered damage on the trees both times like this.

***Where you plant a seed, beauty will bloom forth.
Occasionally one seed will not bloom ... even when fertilized.***

  3. Oh My Sweet Peanut Butter, a chair for each of us on the porch. I so love this home. It speaks softly to each visitor. The paths take you in beautiful directions of love and painstakenly show the growth that will shower you with love in the months ahead. The lawn is so beautiful I could sit there with you and have a picnic in the afternoon sun, and laugh and share our stories of fun times. Oh I always loved these brick borders as I tried to walk on them and not fall off as a child. Everything is beautiful honey, just beautiful. A painting guided by God's paintbrush for you to share in the months ahead with each and every visitor or passer by. It truly says "Welcome Home My Friends". I love you sweetie, Cherry Jelly

  10. "Summer Gardens Soon Will Be Gone." Truth which (a little bit) makes me sad. Thanks for sharing your beautiful yard and garden. It has been a good "flowers" summer for us here in the Midwest, too.

  16. I loved reading about your beautiful gardens and seeing all of the lovely photos. Yes, my gardens as well, though still growing, are looking just a bit tired (some more than others) and I know that the growing days for this season are coming to an end. It sort of makes me sad, but I'll also be happy for a break! :)
