a big heavy box. Whhhhhaaaatttt?!I saw a car pull up into the driveway & said 'Harold go answer the door & if it is the Acorn Census Takers, throw them off the property again!' I was on the phone with a friend trying to assist her.
Harold dutifully goes to the door ... I saw him stand there, then he turns & says 'you need to come to the door'. I said 'Oh for pete's sake can't you handle it, I am busy'. Harold said 'I think you should come answer the door'. 'Good grief, Harold, can't you take care of this'! I excuse myself from the phone call, go to the door & here is a strange man with a box! I gave him a questioning look, he smiled & extended his hands holding this huge box.
Huh!?!?!!!
So I took the box. I said, 'Harold it is a box with a flower cake in it' ... now he is chuckling. Hmmm! We take this heavy box to the kitchen to open. There is this gorgeous cake ... (oh, btw, that's my new PINK camera) ... we lifted it out. So I do my usual 'hat stuff', nope! it doesn't fit well at all, durnnit! So I figured it was from Harold, right?! NOT!!!!!
I run over & get a knife, 2 plates & forks so we can cut into this baby ... hmmmmm! This isn't cutting like it should, folks. I always say if I can't wear it or eat it, I don't want it ... I changed my mind today. It is a breathtakingly gorgeous flower cake ... made with floral foam & fresh flowers AND topped with a RED ROSE.
This is the most beautiful cake I have ever had! Rather than flowers in a vase it is literally a floral cake! Have you EVER seen ANYTHING so PRETTY, unique & wonderful.
And it all came from sweet Sherry @ Country Wings In Phoenix ... aka/Cherry Jelly. (You MUST go to her blog & see what this talented lady did today!)
