~ Pumpkin Cake & Voting~
This is my own creation which has been published. it gets really nice compliments & the 'season' is upon us for ........
**EASY PUMPKIN CAKE**
Take any white cake mix & mix as directed.
Add 1 c. of canned pumpkin
Add 2 Tbsp of pumpkin pie spice
Mix & cook as directed on the box.
**FROSTING**
Make a cream cheese frosting, add 1 LID of orange extract to the frosting.
Mix & spread.
This cake will be the best you've ever eaten!!
~ Oh, my 'punkins' don't go along with the recipe but thought you may enjoy seeing

ReplyDeleteSounds yummy! Will give that one a try. I was puzzling over "1 lid of orange extract" - then it finally dawned on me that you pour the extract into the bottle lid - just like I do with vanilla sometimes! I had just never heard that expression. Cute! Carol

ReplyDeleteThe recipe I have uses spice cake mix and I have also used a chocolate cake mix, 1 can of pumpkin and 1 cup water...and than to keep it fat free cool whip on top...also very yummy!!!

ReplyDeleteI will have to make this for my oldest daughters birthday next month. Her favorite pie is pumpkin which one of her friends usually gives her on her birthday. But I think this cake would certainly make her day.

ReplyDeleteMy family makes this cake a tad different...we buy a box of spice cake mix and add the pumpkin to it...we were told it is fat free?? Who knows...we do eat it without the icing, it is that moist! The icing with orange sounds nice though!
