~ I Went To Church To Find Out What Happened To God.....'

Two little boys, ages 8 & 10, were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble & their parents knew all about it.

If any mischief occurred in their town, the two boys were probably involved.

The boy's mother heard that a preacher in town had been successful in disciplining children so she asked if he would speak with her boys.

The preacher agreed, but he asked to see the individually. So the mother sent the 8 year old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the preacher in the afternoon.

The preacher, a huge man with a booming voice sat the younger boy down & asked him sternly, 'Do you know where God is, son?'

The boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there, wide-eyed, with his mouth hanging open.

So the preacher repeated the question in an even sterner tone, 'Where is God?'

Again, the boy made no attempt to answer.

The preacher raised his voice even more & shook his finger in the boy's face & bellowed, 'Where's God?'

The boy screamed & bolted from the room, ran directly home & dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him.

When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, 'What happened?' The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, 'We are in BIG trouble this time!'

(I love this line, over & over again)

'God is missing & they think we did it!'

  3. Oh PB,
How sweet was this. Thank you for making me smile. It has not come easy today. My heart just hurts to be happy today. Just knowing that I will never touch Amy again in this earthly life makes me sad. Yes, I do have so many memories to make my heart smile, it is not the same. She tried so hard to fight this disease, and she never questioned God once, not even once. Just smiled and went on. God Bless her little heart. I know her reward in heaven was great for all her strength and courage, and her strong FAITH in his wisdom. Thank you for loving me my precious friend. I so love you, Cherry Jelly

  5. Amy showed all of us here in the 'blog family' that strength to the end was carried with a smile as she prepared to meet our Lord. Jesus held her closely, Sherry, giving her the power to carry on. Memories are bitter sweet, I know this first hand that the love of a child is a pain no family should endure. Cling to those precious moments you shared, in joy & life ... Amy would want it this way, my precious friend. Amy is blessed to be home, you were blessed to have shared 33 wonderful years of her life as a very precious & loved Auntie.

I love you dearly, forever I am here for you. Hugs, Peanut Butter/Marydon

I wanted to tell you how much my heart sang reading your lovely words about Amy. I only recently heard of her and her valiant fight. She truly was an angel on earth and has taught us Grace...I hope her Mama finds the strength and courage she needs to hold on.

  20. Hi Marydon, I too LOVE the hat!!! I wish I was able to pull off wearing one, but I am the only girl in our family who looks terrible in hats. How I envy my sisters and their lovely hat-framed faces at times!! As for the story, it is just adorable!! Thanks for sharing it with us and giving us something to laugh about today. No day should go by without having one really good laugh, and the smile staying on our faces for a good long while!! Good for the soul, and for keeping us young looking. Have a great Sunday. hugs from afar, Debby
