~ Heart Gifts ~
At the dawn of each new day, we are blessed once again with life. What we do with this gift, is our choice.

~ Heart Gifts ~
It's not the things that can be bought
That are life's richest treasures,
It's just the little 'heart gifts'
That money cannot measure ~
A cheerful smile, a friendly word
A sympathetic nod
All priceless little treasures
From the storehouse of our God
There are the things that can't be bought
With silver or with gold
For thoughtfulness & kindness
And love are never sold ~
They are the priceless things in life
For which no one can pay
And the giver finds rich recompense
In giving them away.

Hi Marydon
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words today. God's people really need to hold each other up right now, not tear each other down. I hope that your day gets better and that you will feel His arms wrapped around you.
Hugs,
LeAnn:)

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to stop by and thank you for the beautiful comment on my blog about the poem that I wrote for Amy Dawn.
You have helped remind me all the way that life is short, live today as if it were your last day, and to never take one second for granted. You have shared many things with me my friend and for that I will always be so grateful.
I love you my precious friend. I will love you forever and to eternity. Thank you for my hugs and love, I have been feeling them today. All my love, Cherry Jelly
That is so cool, I couldn't stop rolling my mouse up and down over that picture, very cool.
ReplyDeleteHelen Steiner Rice has written some of my favourite poems, even as a teenager I used to read her books which was very uncool!
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving kind comments!

ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by for a visit.
I like how you summed up my post:
"short, sweet, and to the point."
That is how men like it.

Oh so true and beautifully stated! It is these gifts from the heart that touch our souls and remain with us forever. Marydon, thank you so much for sharing this today...perfect!
ReplyDeleteI always laughed at HSR's huge hats, but her poetry touched many lives. I guess the moral of this is "you can wear whatever you like if you have a caring heart."
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing,
