~ Happiness Is ..... ~
What a busy fun filled day with our precious punkins ~ Ansel ae 8, James ae 11 (he is their cousin that we call our 'gr-son' also) & Tatiana ae 6.
1st ~ We made toilet paper pumpkins, so fun & easy ... take orange tissue paper, pull it up, stuff it into the cone top, twist paper bag & insert in cone top ... let them draw or add decorations as they see fit. They loved it.
2nd ~ They drew faces on their pumpkins as it was too darn cold to go outside & carve this year.
3rd ~ Tatiana insisted on pumpkin pie so she made them all by herself for the first time. She had a great time & LICKED the bowl clean.
4th ~ Tatiana made meatball subs for lunch. This is a must every time we bring them home & they are simple & easy for kids to do.
Meatballs ~ couple lbs. of hamburger, 1/2 c. parmesan, 1/2 c. pizza sauce, 1/2 c. bread crumbs ... mix well & shape into meatballs ... bake 15 mins. at 400 degrees. Oh, yum!
5th ~ Caramel apples ... what a mess! but oh so deelish!
6th ~ James' eleventh birthday ... we had a cake & a small tea party at his request for his celebration.
7th ~ We went to the amusement park near the house where they have a blast. (not shown)
8th ~ The kids all worked together to make a hamburger casserole & garlic bread for dinner ... Emery & Cat joined us ... serving Tatiana's pie for dessert.
9th ~ I AM POOPED!!! but this is what a 'Mimi' should be after 2 days of constant fun.

OH MD...what fun! I would soooo have eaten this up. Since I have only Miss K she gets ALL the attention. What will I do when I have more? Gramma always said there just enough room in a Grammy's heart to add just one more...each and every time they come along!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait.
Love to you~

ReplyDeleteEven though you may be "pooped," it is great that you could have that much fun with the kiddos!
ReplyDeleteI had never seen a toilet paper pumpkin until this year. Now, I can say I've been no place in which I've not seen one. Ah, yes, fads come and go, but caramel apples are forever!

ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful children. I want to come over and play with them.
