My precious Ansel came over, at the dinner we were at a restaurant for DHs bday/Father's Day combined ... Ansel is soooo affectionate & told me he loved me. I said, "Ansel, you melt my heart, you are my very special boy'. Ansel looked me square in the eye & said 'but Mimi, you don't have a heart'. I was startled & asked, 'why doesn't Mimi have a heart, Ansel?' Ansel so seriously sweet replied 'because you have a pacemaker Mimi'. Ohhhh, be still my heart ... out of the mouth of babes!! Now you know why my heart melts ..... these little ones are so precious & so sweet. I know you've all had your moments, I had to share mine.

Hi..yes, kids say some profound things, huh? Thanks for visiting my blog and mentioning Project Linus. Yes, I have donated to it for a long, long time, and should have mentioned it, to help remind others. My scrap blocks will be turned into quilts for that purpose.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog.
We just never know what they are thinking! That is really sweet that he remembered about your pacemaker. They are adorable.
ReplyDeleteSo precious!!! I love how ther little brains work!!! Darling story!!!

Yes, and they are precious. My little one can say the sweetest things to me. He melts my heart daily.
ReplyDeleteYour little Ansel is so precious. Grandkids do melt the heart, or pacemakers?! Out of the mouths of babes.

ReplyDeleteIts very precious what comes out of the mouth of babes. Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog, and I was very sorry to hear about the loss of your precious son Sean. I have recently set up a memorial blog, to honour our precious lost loved one's, its called 'Eternal Names by The Sea'. The other day while I was at my local beach writing names by the sea, I thought of you and Sean, I hope you don't mind, but I wrote Sean's name by the sea, and I would love to email the photo's to you. If you would like to know about my memorial blog, and what its all about, the link is: http://eternalnamesbythesea.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeletePlease take care and I look forward to hearing from you.

ReplyDelete(James-Gabriel is the kids cousin, whom we 'adopted' as his maternal g'parents are in Heaven & his paternal g'parents live overseas. He is a wonderful addition to our 'kid-lings' ... we love them all. 3 + 1 makes 4 of our wonderful joys.)
Joshua is our dau's son.

Grandchildren are such a joy - nothing like being grandparents. Little ones say such cute things - you remember moments like that forever. Our youngest granddaughter when she was about three had some ice cream with her grandpa and he told her it was neapolitan - the three flavors. Next time she asked grandpa for some neosporin ice cream. Ah, memories! Carol
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the straight forward simplicity of kids? It is what it is.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie.
Sunday Blessings,
Candy
Children are just so special and deserve to be loved at all times. They are very honest and surprise us all with their insight.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet moment that was. Kids come up with the most amazing things.
ReplyDeleteWhen my son was around 10 he was Baptized. My 4 year old daughter at the time felt left out and she kept telling me, "I want to be vaporized too." Funny and very sweet memories.
