Oh how I loved those Peanuts Specials, they were all great, and yes, the music is so memorable. I especially loved how the grownups sounded. We used to talk like that to irritate our parents! Hope things are going well for the Christmas Season!

LOVE Charlie Brown's Christmas! It was my first introduction to the gospel and it made a firm "real tree" user out of me! Ha! ♥
ReplyDeleteMy favorite! We have already watched ours once (with a steaming cup of hot chocolate, of course!) and will watch it many times again between now and Christmas... love to you... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteI work with students who are learning English as a second language and we were just discussing, "What is a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree?"

We just loved the Charlie Brown Christmas special and looked forward to it every year. Isn't it amazing that Charles Schulz suffered from depression? He always worked little bits about his own suffering into his comic strip. "I have deep feelings of depression," a round-faced kid named Charlie Brown said to an imperious girl named Lucy in an early strip. "What can I do about it?"
ReplyDelete"Snap out if it," advised Lucy.
I think it was good advice. All my best to you Marydon.
XO Sue.
