~Longest Solar Eclipse of Century ~ (Awesome)

On July 22, the moon passed directly in front of the sun, causing a total solar eclipse that crossed nearly half the Earth - through India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China. Today's was the longest total solar eclipse of the 21st century, lasting as much as 6 minutes and 39 seconds in a few areas. Despite cloudy skies in many of the populated areas in the path, millions of people gathered outside to gaze up and view this rare event. Collected here are a few images of the eclipse, and those people who came out to watch.

  1. Good Morning Sweet Angel!
I hope you are doing well this morning, and up and atem for the day. Out little Amy has made it through another night. She only has to get through today and tonight and then tomorrow they will start feeding her. I just pray for her the strength that she so desperately needs. I am still hot with the State of Okla. today. I just do not understand how they can refuse food for a person who needs it to sustain them. I am so worried about this being the way things are going to be soon. We will all be in this shape. The weather here is hot again today. Tomorrow we are supposed to have a cool spell and only get to 105. Imagine that? A hot cool spell, now who would have thought. Now Marydon, wasn't that eclipse just the most beautiful thing you have ever seen? So beautiful. Truly. Lasting such a long time. Turning the lights off in the daytime, what a concept. Take care my sweet angel, I will talk to you later. I love you, Sherry

  9. Hi sweet, Marydon!!! What precious, rare photos... not too often, are we lucky enough to capture something like that... if ever! BTW, are you sure that it was safe to take these pics? *giggle* You know, they say you should never look into an eclipse... Hardy har, har! Just trying to make you feel better, I guess that was pretty cheesy though, huh?!

Big hugs and thoughts are being sent your way!
